So some how I will be playing music to score various peoples home movies this saturday night October 18th. more info here

Its a program put on by the Chicago Film Archives to screen your home movies in the cultural center. Pretty cool. Bring your film in during the day and they will screen it and choose a bunch to show from 6pm-10pm. I have been told that starting at 6pm a woman will be playing piano while the films run (she usually accompanies dance groups so I am sure that it will be very beautiful and much more technically skilled then my performance). About half way through there will be a break and I will then attempt to improv something to fit with what ever random films start showing. I am really excited. It should be fun.

Come out. Its free and there is Intelligencia coffe just around the corner. and…its early enough that you can still do whatever later that night.

So today I took a class at old town for circuit bending put on by Patrick. Here is his web site. Even though its not listed there if you go to the Old Town School site you can sign up for the november class.

here is the first thing i have recorded with toy that I bent at the class. All the sounds are made from the toy. I fed it through my guitar effects just for the looping and some delay. I know its long and rambly but it was really fun to make so whatever. There are some sections with long pauses, just be patient as I am still fiddeling with the toy and the current knob i have is very sensitive.
