…again created late at night, around 2am to be exact. After an evening of wicker park fest and then waiting for kirstie to finish photoing zombies we came home and ate pizza metro II. The other fuel for this was a robert the bruce and some jameson.

Not all that exciting. I still have a lot of work to do to really think about how I want to use this thing. This piece isnt the first thing i have done on it but its the first i recorded. Its a solo one track, using my guitar effects just for delay and looping. I do enjoy the percussiveness of a piano and the extra range it gives me over the guitar.

This was recorded straight into the mbox, no mic’ing the rhodes amp because it was late and I was tired. I think because of that there is a lot of noise that comes in when the piece get quiet.

This is a very rough sketch of a peice that i have starting thinking about. i dont want to say much about other then the final piece will be an hour long and i will try to smooth out the digital distortion. I am not sure which track that is coming from or why its coming.

So I didnt save all the samples I made while performing last Friday (jan 16 2009), which was something I went “Doh!” as soon as I hit erase to being the second peice. What I did save I have decided to mix down, possibly multiple times. I would like to see if coming back to the few samples I did save over the course of a week or so, if I can construct a few different and interesting pieces. Had you heard this live, there was also plenty of noise being made that was not captured or processed by the laptop. In a future post I will detail the setup. For now:
