to nickd, and erin and robert and richard and sei jin and any random ppl that were at hotti biscotti last night. your attendance was awesome. i hope you enjoyed what you heard.

those that missed it, as much as part of me believes there wont be any more live cinchel shows ever, part of me knows that there will probably be another chance in the not to terribly distant future.

Details are still being gathered (like what time you should show up)..but here is what I do know.

Sept 24th @ hotti biscotti (map yelp )
I will play second. The first band will be a drone guitar duo, the third and forth band will be folk music ( i believe)

This is an initial info dump so that you may be able to check your calendar and find a spot.

ps i know that its the same night as sunny day @ metro which is a big deal for some of you. it is understood that one cannot be 2 places at once and you are therefor excused.

In tribute to a great venue going through a bit of Chicago-style zoning politics (ie bullshit). Here is one of my favorite shows that I saw there. this was later (november-ish?) of last year. It was cold out side and the parachute was up so the venue isnt to echoey. We sat on the floor. Everyone was perfectly quiet. Enjoy

So I didnt save all the samples I made while performing last Friday (jan 16 2009), which was something I went “Doh!” as soon as I hit erase to being the second peice. What I did save I have decided to mix down, possibly multiple times. I would like to see if coming back to the few samples I did save over the course of a week or so, if I can construct a few different and interesting pieces. Had you heard this live, there was also plenty of noise being made that was not captured or processed by the laptop. In a future post I will detail the setup. For now:
